Twili Midna | Mirror

Attacks:

Weak String:

7 hits long. Last hit has a very long range and does decent damage. All other hits have a somewhat wide range in front of Twili Midna.

Combo 1:

Hold the button to make a circle slowly extend from under Twili Midna. Any enemy inside the circle will be frozen. Release the button to create a blast and do immense damage to any enemy inside the circle. The attack is slow, but as you attack enemies with other attacks, a meter under your Special Attack gauge will fill. The circle will extend slightly faster the more the gauge is filled and the gauge will empty after using the attack. However, the attack becomes noticeably faster when the gauge is completely filled. This attack is excellent in almost any situation due to how quick it is to charge and use, the wide range it has, and the high damage it deals. Use this attack often, but make sure to only use it when the gauge is filled.

Combo 2:

A giant fist will come from out of the ground in front of Twili Midna, launching any enemy hit by it straight up. The range is small an the damage is low, but this attack is great at breaking all Weak Point Gauges. Just remember to use a weak hit afterwards to take off the last sliver of the gauge. Besides from Weak Point Gauges, this attack is good at juggling enemies, but you will need Hasty Attacks to fully take advantage of it.

Combo 3:

Twili Midna will pull a ball of light from behind her, then smash it in front of her. This attack does higher damage than Combo 2, but it is much slower and can't juggle enemies. You should avoid using this move.

Combo 4:

Twili Midna will summon a giant cannon, then shoot 3 huge balls of light in front of her. This attack has MASSIVE range and is arguably the best crowd-clearing move in the game. The shots are all very wide and go a very long distance outwards, and the damage is high enough to kill any weaker enemies. Using this attack will completely fill your Strong Attack gauge most of the time. This attack can also be used to take barrier keeps without needing to even step foot into them. Use the attack multiple times outside of the keep and make sure to change your direction after every use so that you can clear out more enemies.

Combo 5:

Twili Midna will summon a wooen bridge. She wil swing it in front of her twice before slamming it onto the ground. This attack's main use is in 1v1, as it deals hih damage and the hast hit breaks shields. It also juggles enemies well. This attack can also be used to clear out small crowds in front of you, but Combo 6 is better for that.

Combo 6:

Twili Midna will jump onto a twilight wolf and summon 2 more, 1 on either side of her. All 3 wolves will run forward, with the middle one growing as it goes forward. You can also turn and change the direction of the attack while it is happening. This is the better medium-sized crowd-clearing option btween it and Combo 5. The damage is somewhat low, but it is still enough to kill weaker enemies. Nice for taking out enemies in the corners of keeps.

Special Attack:

Twili Midna will summon a twilight spear, then stab it into the ground, sending out a shockwave. Think of this attack like her Strong Attack, but worse in every way. Lower damage, smaller range, and it takes much longer to charge. It also does much less damage to Weak Point Gauges than her Strong Attack. It is still a good attack on its own and you should use it when you want to use your Strong Attack but don't have the gauge filled. This attack almost always fills the Strong Attack gauge so you can do an alternation between Special Attack -> Strong Attack -> Special Attack -> Strong Attack on captains to do major damage.

Giant bosses:

You should make sure to have your Strong Attack gauge filled before bringing down any giant boss. Twili Midna will need to also use a Special Attack no matter what giant boss she is battling. Prepare a Combo 6 as the boss is falling. Afterwards use your Strong Attack. Finish off with a Special Attack. This works against all giant bosses except for The Imprisoned and Ganon.

Weapon skills:

  • Strong Attack+

  • Strength 2

  • Strength 4

  • Strength 5 (Can replace with 6 if you use that attack more often)

  • VS Dragon/Undead

  • No Healing

  • Hasty Attacks

  • Finishing Blow+ (You can also use Special Attack+ but Finishing Blow+ is the better option.)

Alternate Set:

Twili Midna is considered a very defensive character, so you can replace No Healing with Defenseless and Finishing Blow+/Special Attack+ with Heartstrong. This way you get a damage boost from being at full health AND at the loss of your sheild. This is better to use on defensive characters as the set allows you to do more damage, but being hit is a huge punishment. Defenseless is used over No Healing so you can get back to full health quickly for the Heartstrong bonus.
