Linkle | Boots

Attacks:

Weak String:

7 hits long. A decent option in 1v1, but not much use elsewhere.

Combo 1:

Linkle will dash forward. If she hits an enemy that you can lock on to, then she will flip backwards then perform a diving kick towards the enemy. This attack can break shields and does decent damage. However, the enemy can sometimes appear behind you after the first hit, causing them to avoid the second hit.

Combo 2:

Linkle will kick upwards. When she is in the air, she can perform 3 weak attacks and a strong attack. This attack can break Weak Point Gauges. This attack is also great at comboing into other moves, with and without Hasty Attacks. Use C2, then use only the first weak hit in the air to make sure you can combo the enemy into other moves, such as C6.

Combo 3:

Linkle will kick forward. You can turn while using this move. This move also breaks Weak Point Gauges. While this attack is good at doing quick, strong damage to an enemy, its best use is against giant bosses because it deals a lot of damage to their WPG's quickly. It's also a nice option to clear small crowds.

Combo 4:

Linkle will spin into the air. Once she is in the air, she has the same combos as she does in the air after C2. This attack is best used for comboing officers, whether it be 1 or multiple. This move also seems to link into its air attacks better than C2. This attack is also useful against giant bosses.

Combo 5:

Linkle will kick upwards like in her C2, but then she will kick forwards like in her C3. You can turn between the first and second hit. This attack does decent damage, but it is fairly slow and doesn't combo into anything/nothing combos into it. Probably this weapon's worst move.

Combo 6:

Linkle will charge her boots full of electricity while 2 cuccos run in a circle in front of her, gathering up enemies. She will then spin forward and slam into the ground. You can also turn or cancel the attack at any time. This is by far her best move on crowds. To clear crowds most effectively, turn slowly in 1 direction while the cuccos are running in circles, then turn around mid-air so that she slams down and kills enemies behind her. This move is also a great combo finisher as it deals so much damage. This move can also go through giant boss WPG's extremely quickly.

Special Attack:

Linkle will run back and forth between 2 cuccos. This attack has okay range and okay damage. Its best uses are for clearing crowds and battling officers because C6, the weapon's only slow attack, can be dodge canceled and every giant boss besides The Imprisoned and Ganon can be taken down without it.

Giant bosses:

The Boots can take down the main 4 giant bosses without Hasty Attacks or Special Attacks!

  • King Dodongo: You have 2 options. The easier option is to C6 as he's falling down, then use 3 C3's. The more difficult option deals more damage, and it involves using C6 as he's falling down, then use C4, hen use another C4, but use a single weak air attack, then a strong air attack.

  • Manhandala: C6 as soon as the last head hits the ground, then use 3 C3's.

  • Argorok: C3, then C6. (It helps if you dodge after hookshotting him).

  • Gohma: C4 as soon as she falls down, then use all 3 weak air attacks and the strong air attack. Use another C4 and all 3 weak air attacks.
