Ghirahim | Demon Blade

Attacks

Weak String:

6 hits long. 2nd and 3rd hit involve Ghirahim throwing 5 daggers in front of him, which cover a wide range and traven fairly far. The first 3 hits is enough to break most weak point gauges. The rest of the string doesn't have much use.

Combo 1:

This locks Ghirahim onto an enemy in front of him (it can be tricky, even when locked on to an enemy.) The lock on lasts for about 2 combos. Once locked on, Ghirahim can press the Strong Attack button again to send a flurry of daggers at the enemy. Low damage and not very helpful in general. Other combos are powered up while locked on.

Combo 2:

Press the Strong Attack button once to have Ghirahim swipe upwards to launch the enemy into the air. Press the Strong Attack button a second time to have Ghirahim stab the air multiple times. Press it a third time to summon a circle in front of him. This circle makes all enemies trapped in it freeze and float in the air before being slammed into the ceiling. The first 2 hits are great at juggling and break weak point gauges well. The 3rd hit does okay damage, but dodge canceling into another Combo 2 is a better option. WHEN LOCKED ON WITH C1: The first hit summons a huge sword under the locked on enemy. This attack will always launch the enemy in front of Ghirahim no matter how far away they are. This move also does great damage and can do plenty of damage to Weak Point Gauges. Since this attack launches enemies in front of Ghirahim, you can lock on to a boss in a barrier keep and use this to pull them out of the keep so you don't take damage from the barrier.

Combo 3:

1 press of the Strong Attack button sends out a small wave of energy out around Ghirahim. The second button press summons a number of daggers around Ghirahim before coming towards him, draggin all enemies with them. Press it a third time to have Ghirahim turn into a sword and slam down into the enemies below him. This is one of Ghirahim's few attacks that hit behind him, but the range and damage on the attack are fairly underwhelming. WHEN LOCKED ON WITH C1: The first hit will summon a barrier of magic around the locked on enemy, freezing them. The third hit will summon a huge sword under the enemy knocking then straight up. This does nice damage and breaks most Weak Point Gauges, but this attack is great against giant bosses. Use this mostly against them.

Combo 4:

The first hit will make Ghirahim do a Skyward Strike. The next hit summons a number of large blades in front of Ghirahim. The final hit makes Ghirahim summon 6 Bokoblins, 3 on each side, that run off attacking in a straight line. The first 2 hits are great crowd clearing options and are also the moves you will probably use most in 1v1. Make sure to dodge cancel before the hird hit, as the Bokoblins are mostly useless and just leave you open to be attacked. WHEN LOCKED ON WITH C1: The second hit will summon a huge sword under the enemy, knocking them away from Ghirahim. This is Ghirahim's strongest attack and does great damage against Weak Pint Gauges. But since it launches the enemy away, you should only use this when you are near a wall so you can continue your combo with a Combo 2.

Combo 5:

Ghirahim rises up and drags enemies around him before slamming into the ground launching everyone near him away. This move covers a very wide range and hits behind him, so this is your best option for clearing out crowds. It also does decent damage.You should also use this when there are multiple officers near you, so that you can divide them and do some nice damage on top of it. This attack does not change when locked on with C1.

Special Attack:

Ghirahim summons a dome in front of him that stabs anyone in it multiple times before a sword crashes through it above. This attack doesn't do much damage compared to other specials and the range is a bit above average. The last hit makes all enemies fly away from the center of the dome, even enemies not in it, so it is useful for scattering officers like Combo 5.

Giant Bosses

While the boss is falling, lock on with Combo 1. Use all 3 hits of Combo 2 twice, then follow up with 2 or 3 weak attacks. This breaks every WPG in 1 round besides The Imprisoned and Ganon.
